The circuit around Lake Erlaufsee is ideal for a short, relaxing winter walk. The lakeside promenade meanders leisurely along the lake and offers wonderful places to pause for a moment. Due to the low volume of traffic in winter, the way back on the country road is no problem.
Good footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather
The winter hike begins at the bus stop by Erlaufsee, near the manor house. You’ll take a leisurely stroll along the promenade on the northern shore of the lake. After passing the Lindenhof estate, turn left onto Neukoglerweg and follow it to the state highway. Follow the highway along the southern shore back to the starting point.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, there are no places to stop for refreshments at Erlaufsee in winter.
Parking lot at Erlaufsee
The loop trail is also popular in the summer. Instead of the country road, you can take the forest path that runs parallel to it during this time of year.
