Cycle across Lower Austria and discover its destinations—the Vienna Woods and the Mostviertel region—on your mountain bike! Pure variety awaits you on your active holiday trip in the most beautiful natural surroundings—and the necessary energy for steep climbs and long distances is provided by numerous refreshment stops along the way where you can explore the region from its culinary side.
You can look forward to three stages of active recreation— metropolis, forests, bodies of water, mountains, sheep's milk cheese, natural swimming lakes and much more included. The choice is yours!
The "Himmelstreppe" trains of the Mariazell Railway offer you a comfortable ride back.

- 1st stage: Vienna West - Brand-Laaben (inn "Landgasthof zur Linde"), 42 km
- 2nd stage: Brand-Laaben - St. Aegyd am Neuwalde (inn "Gasthof Zum Niederhaus"), 59 km
- 3rd stage: St. Aegyd am Neuwalde - Mariazell, 38 km
Starting out in the west of the Austrian capital Vienna, the route follows different (sections of) MTB trails in the Vienna Woods to Brand-Laaben, a small, tranquil village in the Elsbeere-Wienerwald region.
From there, the route leads out of the Vienna Woods via the Gölsen and Traisental Cycle Paths into the alpine Mostviertel region on to the second stop in St. Aegyd am Neuwalde. Continuing through the area around Mt. Göller close to Mt. Annaberg, the last section with the Hubertussee and Erlaufsee lakes offers perfect opportunities to cool off and enjoy nature. Only a few kilometres further, the finish at the famous pilgrimage basilica of Mariazell provides the perfect backdrop and cultural conclusion to your pilgrimage on two wheels.
