Route description Bike route Neidling loop (with connection to St. Pölten)
We start at St. Pölten main station. From the connection to the St. Pölten cycling network, along the Moosbach to Afing. We come on the paved field path to Afing and turn left onto the state road at the end of the street (Attention: there may be increased traffic on state roads). After the bridge, we turn left and take the next path left. We follow the road to the next intersection and turn right here. We leave Afing and continue on a well-developed field path (unpaved) to Watzelsdorf. At the fork at the edge of town, we keep left and continue to the state road (here there is the possibility to leave the route to the right and reach Gasthaus Heinzl), we cross this straight and immediately turn left, ride a short stretch straight to the state road. Here we turn right and take immediately the next path to the right. We leave Watzelsdorf and continue again on a field path (not paved) straight ahead to the end of the path, where we turn right and arrive in Gabersdorf. At the end of the path we turn right again (here there is the possibility to reach the golf restaurant – to do so, leave the route left to the end of the street, then turn left up to Goldegg – restaurant, golf course and castle), continue through Gabersdorf to the intersection. We cross this straight and drive towards Neidling (state road). We already see the beautiful Neidling parish church. After the parsonage, which is located right next to the church, we turn left (state road) and are now in Neidling. At the intersection where the Neidling municipal office is located, we turn right (here there is the possibility to go to GH Jachs – you have to leave the route to the left at the intersection – after about 500 m GH Jachs is on the left side). We continue until we arrive in Pultendorf. At the end of the street we turn left and drive until it ends. There we turn left onto the state road, drive a short stretch and turn right after the bridge and continue along the path next to the creek (the Kremnitz) until we reach Afing. At the end of the path we reach the state road and turn left and after a short stretch take the next way right. Now we are back at our starting point of the Neidling bike loop. Along the Moosbach it goes back to St. Pölten.

Author's tip
We recommend visiting the inns along the way to refresh yourself (Gasthaus Heinzl in Watzelsdorf, Schlossrestaurant Goldegg, Gasthaus Jachs in Neidling, Gasthaus Kaller in Flinsbach). Additionally, it is possible to visit the small but very beautiful church in Neidling. Along the bike route there are some chapels, wayside shrines, and benches for resting.
